About Arctic Platypi.

Since the discovery of Ernie (The actual discovery of Ernie took place yesterday, i've just been too busy to post that same day) , I've been studying Arctic Platypi, and have so far learned, they LOVE citrus fruit, (which would explain why I found Ernie in an orange tree), enjoy licking ice, grow to be about 4 or 5 inches tall, and come in a variety of colors, but they always have white bodies. So there could be a white one, with green eyes, tail, and beak (like Ernie), or maybe a white one with purple eyes tail and beak (which remains undiscovered).... I've been doing my best to make sure Ernie stays cold, for example, I let him sleep in the freezer last night! xD He's quite odd compared to other platypi, considering that he seems to hop about, more than walk, he dislikes fish, and prefers human food, and when he does eat human food, he usually will only eat green food (with a few exceptions).... I'm so glad I discovered Ernie, and will be on the lookout for the rest of his waffle.

So me and Poachie where out adventuring, when I saw something white out of the corner of my eye, as I turned my head, it dashed away. Intent on knowing what it was, I followed it, and to my surprise, it was the rare Arctic Platypus! Not only an Arctic Platypus, but a Platypup* at that! This is especially odd, considering Arctic Platypi usually only live in regions where it snows all year long, and as you know, it's not exactly snowy here! xD Not only that, but Arctic Platypups don't usually stray far from their waffle**.... Which makes me wonder, if there's ONE, then there's GOT to be more, right?... So I decided to take this little guy in, and he has informed me his name is Ernie. (apparently Arctic Platypi don't feel the need to have all the platypi in their waffle have names beginning with P.) Ernie has been very happy, and gets along well with the other platypi.

*A Platypup, is a baby platypus.

**A waffle, is a group of platypi, like how a group of geese is a gander.

Sorry I haven't been on here in forever. Months actually. I've just been busy. With schoool, and summmmerrr, and stufffffs. (I know, those are like the worst excuses in the history of the world) So i'm going to try to go on here more. AND POST STUFF. To entertain YOU. Yup. YOU. (Everyone else thinks i'm talking to them but i'm really only talking to you!) So I have plans... First thing i'm gonna do is change the iPlatypus background, I love it, but it's starting to blind me with all the colors, and I like changing things up. Next thing i'm gonna do is.... STUFF WITH HATS. Because hats are amazingtastic. So... BE READY FOR HATS.

Platy-Points!!!!

Platy-points, the newest platypus money. Platy-points will be paper coins that i will give out at every KP meeting, and can be used to buy prizes. They can also be a part of a prize from a contest.... I won't post a picture of what platy-points will look like because i don't want anybody making a bunch of fake platy-points (not that i don't trust youuuu).... $$$$!

Ninja-pus!

Turn your mini platypus into a Ninja-pus! 'Cuz ninjas and platypi make the perfect combination. ;)

*You Will Need

-Mini Platypus

-A finger from a glove

-Scissors

1. Cut a tiny slit at the top of the glove finger, (the part your fingertip would be touching) Just big enough for the tip of your pinky finger to fit through.

2. Put your platypus in, beak sticking out the hole to test if it fits.

3. Remove platypus from glove finger, and cut 2 eye holes, then, put the finger back on....

4.Admire your new Ninja-pus! (Before he sneaks away!)

Socks!

I like socks. A lot. I mean I REALLY, REALLLYYY like socks. A little too much. Since i like platypi(obviously!) and socks. Lots of socks. So many socks. Oh yeah were was i? Yes. The socks... And the platypi... Right. Well, the point is, i like socks and platypi, so i made a post combining, socks and platypi!

How to make a Sock-ypus!

(I did NOT make this how-to, i found it at THIS WEBSITE.)

Puggles the Sock Platypus Craft for Kids

What you will need:

A very stretchy baby sock. The one I used was 100% polyester.

Tiny rubber bands (You can find these in the hair accessories section of a department store.)

Poly-fil for stuffing the socks

Small black eyes, one finger cut from a glove, and brown felt or fun foam for the feet.

Scissors, and a hot melt glue gun (one that uses low temp. glue sticks).

How to make:

1. If your sock has a cuff that is folded down and sewed to the inside of the sock, turn the sock inside out and carefully cut the stitching and unfold the cuff. This will make the sock longer.

2. Use a small amount of poly-fil to stuff the toe of the sock to about half way to the heal of the sock to make the head of the platypus. Use a small rubber band to tie off the head. (See the general directions above on how to make no-sew sock dolls.)

3. Cut a finger off a glove and curl up the cut end a little. Stuff the finger just a little and then glue the cut end of the finger onto the head of the platypus to make the beak.

4. Fill the heal of the sock with poly-fil so that it is stiff. This is the body of the platypus. Secure the body with a rubber band.

5. To make the tail cut the cuff of the sock into a tail shape. Glue it closed on the sides and stuff it with poly-fil. Then glue the end closed.

6. Glue on eyes.

Wow!!!! A platypus tissue box!!! Excuse me Mr. Tissue Box, how would one go about making you?... "Well, First, you will need an ordinary blue tissue box...." Yes? "Then you'll need orange foam and white foam..." Go on... "Then you must cut out a beak, and apply to the area of the which the face shall be with a glue stick..." And? " Also apply 2 white foam circles for eyes... Then you must cut out the feet (orange foam) and apply to the feet area, do the same with tail and draw the criss cross pattern on my tail...." Fasinating! Thank You Mr. Tissue Box! "You're very welcome... I'm glad I helped."

Light switch!

Light switch cover to be exact. Sorry to keep you waiting with my "special project", it's still not done, i haven't gotten the supplies for it yet, but i probably will have it and be done by tomorrow. To hold you over, i present to you, a free printable light switch cover! Ok, i know that sounds really boring, i mean, really really boring,but don't worry, i'm not here to bore you. I'm here to entertain you. To platyfi you. To add a bit of platypus to your day. So i shall. I present to you, the platypus light switch cover!

This only works if you have a certain kind of light switch, with one tiny switch, not the kind with the big fat switch, so if it doesn't work for your light switch, im sorry! To apply to light switch you must tape the tail under the platypus, but let it stick out, and tape the platypus on the light switch... Enjoy-y-pus!

Is it just me, or do companies and websites try to think of the most out of place names possible? Such as the Platypus Soft Waterbottle, or the Furniture store, Platypus, i mean, how out of place can it get?! What next, are they gonna make a frozen yogurt store called "Camera Pie"????!!!! Seriously?!? What is going on here?! What has the world come to?! *Sigh*, Oh well. Maybe someday i'll understand.

Balloon!

Balloon! The amazing word, once spoken, fills our heads with the thought of bouncy, transparent, multi colored, spheres! Ah yes. The word that made me lose a spelling bee in 1st grade. Balloons are great, Pickles likes Balloons, i like balloons, and hopefully, you like balloons, too. I've always wanted to learn how to make balloon animals and such, but i cant even tie the end of a balloon in the first place, so that never went very far. Maybe i can look up how to make balloon stuff... If so, i reeeeeaaaally wanna make something like this:

How to look like a platypus!

Have you ever wanted to look like a platypus? I know i have! So here is a picture sort of describing how to look like a platypus!

You will need:

A Teal Hoodie

Teal Pants (Or Jeans)

Orange fabric

Wire

Stuffing

White Fabric paint

Orange fabric paint

Orange Finger less gloves

Black Fabric paint

Sew a beak out of orange fabric, insert wire to hold its shape, put a tiny bit of stuffing in, and Sew to the top edge of hoodie as shown in picture. Paint on eyes. Paint a tail on the back with orange, and paint the tails pattern with black. Wait for it to dry, now apply all clothing listed above... Tadah!

Well.. Umm... Sort of.. This is only a poorly made representation of what it will look like, and your face will probably not be green, and you will have a nose. but tha

t orange thing on top is th beak and it is meant to stick out like the flat part of a baseball cap... Errr... Well... Have fun?

Heyy Platy-people, As you can see, i've updated the background, i thought i'd try a new drawing style for the platpyus, and personally, i really like it... What do you think? ROBO PLATYPUS?!?!??!? WHAAAAA?!?!?!? Okay, i searching the internet for pictures of plaptypuses, and i found this:

Okay, what???????? A robotic platypus?! What does it do?! Is it a submarine?! Im not really sure, but i know it looks cool! So right now i realllllyyyy wanna go to this one awesome store(that sells small motors and stuff that i like to build robots with, YOUUU know what im talking about, Reese!!)and buy some mini robot parts and make a tiny robot platypus!! Yes, Tin Foil.

Tin Foil Platypus? Is it possible? Can it be done? Would it even work? Yes, Yes, and YES. I made one, and it hasnt fallen apart (yet...)!! It can be done! I can't really explain how, you just kinda get some tin foil and figure it out as you go along! :D What? You want to see a picture of it? Sure! Here ya go!

Sorry the the lighting is kinda weird and reflect-y on the platpyus, i guess thats what happens when you take a picture of tin foil!

Tin Foil?

It's the first post of 2011! And guess what?! I got a Mini Fridge(12 inches tall) for my birthday! Now Pickles can visit the arctic! Yeah, yeah, i know, i haven't been on in FOREVERRRRRR!!! But i have good reasons. I'm planning things. Verrrryyy important things. Verrryyyy platypus things. And plus, it was JUST my birthday. Yeah. I'm busy, too, ya know.Oh well. I'm here now. Thats what matters. Okay, i know i haven't said ANYTHING that you find interesting yet. And i'm probably boring you to DEATH. But i just HAD to show you these shoes.

Yeah. They're pretty awesome sauce, right? So seeing these, I've decided to get white converse(or sneakers) and draw platypi on them as my next shoe. But it may be awhile until i grow out of my current shoes, sadly. Oh well. At least i can imagine what they'll look like until then.
